CURTAIN CALL AWARD

Voted ‘Best Supporting Actresses’ in the Daily Echo’s 2009 Curtain Call Awards for their performance in Shakespeare’s Macbeth, Peter Symonds three witches Jess Rogers, Emily Goddard and Jasmine Nedwell are over the moon.
“With nominations in three categories,” says play director Richard Stillman, “we were hopeful that we might be lucky, but the girls were completely unprepared for their call up.They could hardly believe their ears. The evening was a fantastic finale to last summer’s Macbeth.”
The college’s nominations in the Shakespeare category were:
- Best supporting Actresses Jess Rogers, Emily Goddard and Jasmine Nedwell - “Three demented, writing, white-faced marionettes.”
- Best supporting Actor Patrick Morris (Macduff) “Strong casting as the avenging hero”;
- Best Director - Richard Stillman “A wild and windswept show full of good performances.”
